The room maintenance left something to be desired. the wooden desk had noticeable chips and the leather top showed scoring and wear, which diminished the modern appeal. Additionally, the air conditioning unit in the hallway generated a persistent humming noise that became particularly bothersome at night. Despite the fun ambiance, room noise from the hotel's main areas was quite evident, which could rub some guests the wrong way. There’s also a lack of electrical outlets near the desk level, making it tricky for anyone needing to plug in devices while working or relaxing in their rooms.

I really loved being just a few steps from the famous greetings from austin mural and a short stroll to the umlauf sculpture garden, making my mornings full of art and beautiful views. the staff were super helpful and the food options nearby, especially the pastries at cafe no se, added to the delightful experience. as a solo traveler, i found the rooms clean and the pool area perfect for unwinding after a day of exploring, but the hallway AC unit was a bit noisy at night.
